Travel! : Anilao (Mabini, Batangas) 050115

Batangas is a neighbor province of Cavite like Laguna. It’s a 2-3 hours ride from Dasmariñas, Cavite to Anilao, Batangas. Mabini, Batangas is a home to Anilao. Anilao is well-known as the “scuba diving haven” in the Philippines. This place features a remarkable marine biodiversity that makes it famous also for Foreign tourists. I’m currently residing in Dasmariñas, Cavite. Cavite is my hometown while Manila is my birthplace. I call it out of town because it’s a trip out of Cavite. I am so excited because it’s been a long time since I went out of town. How much excitement will I feel if I went out of country?! Haha!  It’s also been 3 years since the 1st time I stepped my foot in Batangas. That was in Matabungkay (2011).

May 1 is a non-working holiday.  It’s a long weekend.  Our family was invited to escape the summer heat by this Swimming Outing trip to Batangas. We’re with Dela Torre and Dimaano Family. (We’re living in the same village) It’s actually a tradition to join them in outings and travel every summer. Tita Rose Dela Torre planned the location outing because she’s from Batangas. Then, Mr. Dimaano is in charge for the transportation.

I can’t wait to tell everything  I saw and experienced!

So here’s my Photo Essay for the whole trip:

We started travelling from our house at 6: 30 am. I thought we’re going to travel along tagaytay like the last time we’ve been to Batangas but the route was changed because it will be easier to use the Express Way if you’re going to Anilao, Batangas. I love the speed on express ways. We actually went first to Cuenca Market Place to buy raw seafoods and some other foods but I wasn’t able to take picture of it because I’m really cautious about bringing out my camera in a crowded place. We didn’t head directly to Anilao, Batangas.

Our first stop is the hometown of Tita Rose in Mabini, Batangas. We stop over there to eat lunch. The sea is really near from the houses. The breeze coming from the sea offers a gateway to paradise. That’s how I felt. It’s kinda exaggerating because it had really been a long time since I visited Mother Nature. The Dela Torre siblings and my younger brother went to the near sea side there so I was invited to join the sightseeing there.

When I saw the very wide sea, I felt tranquilty and the nature’s spirit.

The waves are dancing.

The sea breeze is swirling.

The sun is smiling.

The place is inviting.

 I’ve fallen for you, summer…

I’ve even made a short poetry because of its beauty. If I want to bring out my creative thinking, staying in this kind of  place is really a good idea.

After the sightseeing, we’re heading to the actual destination which is Anilao, Batangas. Tita Rose already reserved us in  Philpan Dive Resort. I prefer that process. Before going to a place, I need to reserve/book the place first so that the resort can accommodate us well as the guests. There will be no dilemmas.  By the way, Philpan Dive Resort is a beach resort for Diving Enthusiast Beginners.

Most of us will prefer a white sand beach like Boracay, right? Here there is no sand. It’s so rocky. It’s hard to walk around without slippers. Looking at the bright side, I just used the stones as a body scrub and imagining it’s a body spa. Haha! I can’t resist. I did swim. :p

It’s so good to stay in the floating bamboo raft. You can feed the fish there. They tried to use “puto” (rice bread) as bait for the fishes. It’s effective because fishes are attracted to color white. I saw tons of fishes (Black and Yellow colored) swimming around after slowly dipping the “puto” as bait. I suddenly remembered someone who ate a lot of fish in a Japanese restaurant and being a coral man. (Hi Rd! haha) How I wish I have a water proof camera so that I can show it all to you, guys!

Aside from swimming and boating, you can also do Island hopping in this place. It’s one of the popular activities of the tourist here. What I love about this resort is the general cleanliness of the bathroom, cottages and the clear water of the sea. Amazing!

Here’s the highlight of my experience in Anilao. We witnessed the Sunset. It was so beautiful. ❤  So, I tried a lot of photo shots for this moment. I have chosen my 3 Sunset Photo Perspective.  ^^ What do you like best?

#Selfie … Feeling Solenn Heusaff…hahaha! :p

It’s a memorable trip so I didn’t miss the chance to take picture with Anilao.

Going home late at the night SLEX tollgate…

Till the next trip!

      3. Yes, you can 🙂
My suggestion is to write anything on your blog so you can have any posts rather than focusing on one. It will be much more interesting to have different sides and opinions of all aspects of your life rather than just books and travel. Anything you like will do 🙂
That will make a good combination and rhythm. You are doing great already and I love it!

      1. Wow, I have actually a plan to go in Cebu
next year..^.^/ They say people from Cebu are
good musicians. The place is as develop
as Manila. It’s also a place where guitars are
manufactured..Those are my reasons why I want to
        go there. ^^
Yeah, June is a rainy season.>.<

  1. I read again and found you have mentioned me lol Maybe that’s a calling too 😀
I personally prefer the third sunset picture and 2-3 hours trip is exhausting but it’s worth it I think!

    1. You just realized that I mentioned you.. HAHA! I actually didn’t expect that you’ll re-read it because I know you’re busy.
      . >.<

The third sunset picture actually is well liked by so many people especially my mom. It's more popular than me. -.- hahaha!

Actually, it's more tiring to swim in a swimming pool than in beach. All I can say is, It's really worth it! ^^~

      1. Yup I re-read it. I don’t like reading long article but I haven’t mentioned that I will re-read them sometimes even could take up until 5 times 😀
Your own pictures could be good. I know you are avoiding sunlight but that will cast shadown upon your appearance and darken them. I hate sunlight as well and did the same as you. Wearing sunglasses is good but I dislike wearing them. Oh irony….
Well you can come back there anytime to swim 😀

      2. Thanks much more taking time to read because I know you get dizzy in reading. ahhaha..

Yeah.. I just don’t like the idea of exposing too much under the sun since I haven’t brought a sunblock lotion… I just want to relax seeing the whole scenery. 😀
You even mentioned the sunglasses.. It’s a protection for my eyes… I usually wear it going out nowadays because of air pollution and of course direct sun exposure. You know the earth’s ozone layer can protect us that much as before.
Yeah..Actually, I don’t really like swimming… I want to try Ice skating.. (the topic so far) HAHA!

      3. No problem lol
Yeah I know it’s important and you are doing great with sunglasses but it’s just my problem and I need to fix that.
Yes, earth has changed so much due to human own fault.
Ice skating is good and I love cold which means ice as well, I should have taken a video playing ice skating sometimes. I bet it will be fun 😀

      4. Thanks about that…^^~
        That’s why mother earth punishes
        humans form time to time…>.<
I am from a tropical country so
        swimming is so common
i wanna try something ice and snow like
ice skating and Skiing.. ^^ ❤
Also, if that happens i have the
chance to wear winter fashion ❤ whoa!~
Playing with ice will be fun! ^^/
