BENEFITS OF YOGA

It’s hard to find serenity nowadays especially on this fast paced world. You need to move fast to finish your task right away. You are so pre-occupied with everything. It can be stressful at times yet it’s all inevitable we need to survive the game of life. This is why I decided to practice YOGA everyday.
Yoga has five principal meanings: (source: wikipedia)
- Yoga, as a disciplined method for attaining a goal;
- Yoga, as techniques of controlling the body and the mind;
- Yoga, as a name of one of the schools or systems of philosophy (darśana);
- Yoga, in connection with other words, such as “hatha-, mantra-, and laya-,” referring to traditions specialising in particular techniques of yoga;
- Yoga, as the goal of Yoga practice.”
Since I started to be a PRE-SCHOOL teacher, I realized that I easily get tired because it is physically draining. I need to catch the kids when they are running. I never thought that it will require myself to do some physical preparation too before going to work.
In YOGA you need to seek professional practice because there are certain YOGAs that are not applicable to all. I don’t have plenty of time to spend enrolling myself in a YOGA class so I chose doing Basic YOGA at home. I downloaded an APP to practice early in the morning everyday. I am enjoying it. I discovered some benefits that it gives to me.
- PRESENCE OF MIND
Since I started to practice YOGA everyday, I noticed that I am less sluggish and my mind became more alert. Do you know that it’s the most important thing when you are a teacher in PRE-SCHOOL? In a day, you’ll encounter movements from different direction so be ready to catch them all.
- GOOD POSTURE
Good Posture helps you to have good breathing activity and gives you confidence. It’s also my goal why I practice YOGA.
- POSITIVE ENERGY/GOOD VIBES
When you are in a calm mood, you can attract more positive vibes. It affects the life energy that surrounds you. You need to widen it. YOGA can make you feel calmer. If you feel anxious most of the time, I recommend you to practice YOGA.
- PHYSICAL STRENGTH
The YOGA poses that I do involves stretching legs and arms. Yoga becomes my warm-up . I go around the playground and classroom every day. When some child will throw tantrums, I need to carry the child. The teacher must be physically fit to do that.
- STRESS RELIEVER
Yoga can take your stress away simply because it’s YOGA’s objective. We seek for serenity in this cruel world . It conditions something within us physiologically that affects the way we move and feel.
